Sea Canoe's resort on the beautiful island of Koh Yao Noi in Phang Nga bay is where a lot of our staff are from. All bungalows are available for booking anytime. We have five single bunglows which are still quite large and one family bungalow with three bedrooms and two showers.

Koh Yao Noi is a well-preserved island that will enchant even the most selective and demanding visitors: With 45km2 and approximately 4000 inhabitants, it is one of the largest islands in the region. Here, tourism has not been developed on a large scale: Traditional Thai life style remained unchanged and peace and privacy abound.

Tha Khao Bungalow is located on the Island of Koh Yao Noi, in the Bay of Phang Nga, one hour by boat from Phuket, within a very short distance to the well-known destinations of Koh Bileh islands, Krabi, Phang Nha (James Bond islands), Ao Nang and the Koh Phi Phi beaches. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, untamed rain forests and many uninhabited islands, the Bungalow is ideally situated for peace and privacy.

Perfect place to relax, or laze about on the beach, other activities are Kayaking and biking or jungle trekking and mangrove explorations. Plenty of bird life on the island so of particular interest to birdwatchers.

Information of Koh Yao

Koh Yao : consists of two large islands, Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai, surrounded by many smaller islands. The total area is 137.6 sq kms. Largely unaffected by booming development in nearby Phuket. Koh Yao Noi retains it is traditional Muslim culture almost unchanged. There are a few bungalow operations providing basic but very charming accommodation.

Travel to Koh Yao Noi is available from Phuket, Phang-Nga and Krabi, but leaving from Phuket is most convenient. If travel to Krabi & Phang-Nga, there are ferry longtail boat four time a day to/from Koh Yao Noi.

Travel from Koh Yao Noi to Koh Yao Yai is 20 Baht. Boats leave from Koh Yao Noi's Manoh Pier and take just 15 minutes to cross the chanel.

There are many interesting beaches, culture of island people, many acitivities to do sightseeing for Big Tree, Caves, Mangrove Forest, Water Buffaloes and Rice Field & Rubber Plantation on the Koh Yao Noi map:

Baan Tha Khao (Tha Khao Bungalow) or (Mut's bungalow):
is on Haad Tha Khao (Tha Khao Beach) is approximately 5 kms from Koh Yao Noi's district office. Intricately lined, colourful rocks both large and smalll are the attraction of this beach. Just offshore is Koh Nok, a tiny island that can be conveniently reached on foot at low tide. It is covered by very interesting wild plants and orchids.

Not only to travelling on Koh Yao Noi, you can do another activities to Phang Nga Bay and Krabi province as ISland Group in front of bungalow for swimming and snorkeling as on Pa Koh Island (Koh Pak Bia, Koh Hong, etc) or to Ao Nang beach by rental longtail boat.
